How are peptides dosed?

Telling the two apart
A trial figure comes with a protocol, a participant count, and published outcomes; it can be checked. A convention comes with repetition. Both are worth reporting, and this site reports both while labelling which is which — an honest absence is more useful than a plausible number filling the gap.
The tell is attribution. Where a figure can be traced to a named trial or a product label, the page says so. Where it cannot, the page says that instead, rather than borrowing authority from the fact that a number is widely repeated.
Where no trial established an amount
For compounds with no completed human dosing trial — which is most of them — the honest answer to “how is this dosed” begins by saying that no trial established a dose, and then reports what circulates anyway. Both halves are true and the page needs both.
How amounts are written
Milligrams and micrograms both appear, and a factor of a thousand separates them: 250 mcg and 0.25 mg are the same amount written two ways. Trial protocols for the engineered incretins are usually stated in milligrams, while figures for the growth-hormone secretagogues are more often quoted in micrograms. Some preclinical figures are expressed per kilogram of body weight instead, which is a different kind of number and does not resolve to a fixed amount without one.
